Nabeglavi – Georgian Natural Mineral Water The spring of Nabeglavi was discovered in 1905 in the village of Nabeglavi in Guria. According to an old story, local inhabitants of the region noticed that buffalos were especially attracted to one of the water sources; the very same source later turned out to have a special taste and curative properties. Initially, the chemical composition of water was studied by Robert Kuptsis, a Latvian researcher working in Georgia in 1921. In the 1930s, hydrogeological studies were conducted on the water deposit under the leadership of prominent Georgian and other Soviet scientists. Bottling of Nabeghlavi mineral water was initiated in 1958. โNabeghlaviโ production was taken over by JSC โHealthy Waterโ in 1997.
